Steam Cleaning Verses Washing

The washing of rugs and carpets has been practised for thousands of years by the nomadic tribes of the orient. In fact, hand woven carpets improve their appearance with each wash and are known to last many generations of owners.

"Steam Cleaning" is a system of carpet cleaning solely developed for the fitted carpet market, employing a system of jets, atomising warm water into the upper section of the carpet pile, followed by extraction of the same water. However, this system tends to leave behind dirt and an amount of damaging chemical residues, which in turn accelerates the re-soiling process. Our washing process removes the dirt and these residues, leaving your rug as clean as possible. Our clients are often amazed by the return condition of their beautiful rug.

Undisputed Proof

Independent tests, carried out by "CAMRASO", a British carpet research organisation have proven that "in-plant washing" removes 90% of soil particles, while "steam cleaning" removes 40%. Similar studies by the "International Wool Secretariat" have again proved the superiority of "in-plant washing", as performed by RugWash.
